Work with love and passion

Choose a demanding and fulfilling career!

Let’s get straight to the point: a make-up artist’s life is hard. Working with artists and producers is not always easy. The hours (e.g. night-time filming) and locations are often not ideal. Anyone looking to begin the weekend at three o’clock Friday afternoon is on the wrong path!

We have found that the desire and commitment to do good work in addition to interest in the field are the key requirements for this apprenticeship. Our educational prerequisite, however, is the equivalent of a GSCEs/high school diploma. Hairdresser training is helpful but not essential.

Your personal strengths must include dexterity and artistry, as well as imagination and the emotional sensitivity to work with others. A general willingness to face changes and increasing demands, i.e. to grow continually throughout your career, is also necessary.

Our make-up artists will teach you everything you need to know in order to make the grade in your day-to-day work. There’s only one thing you need to bring:

“Passion”

This means love and passion for a job that demands a lot from you but gives back to you, too. Variety rather than monotony. Colourful tasks rather than grey tediousness.

If you have the true desire and the skills to become a make-up artist, no other career will give you as much pleasure and satisfaction.
